Got my lexus lights 2day and wos very excited!!! Took them through 2 my mates bit (he's a mechanic) and we started 2 get them fitted in the dark, cold and rain :(

Anyway took the bulbs out the original and put them in the left back lexus light as u look at it from behind. Fitted them back in and tried the left indicator - worked, tried the sidelight (wen u put the headlights on) - worked, tried the brakelight - worked and then put it in reverse - worked!!! I wos well pleased and thought it would be the same thing 4 the right handside 1 but i couldn't of been any further off the mark!!!

Anyway took the bulbs out the original and put them in the right back lexus light as u look at it from behind. Fitted them back in and tried the right indicator - didn't work but the front 1 wos goin fast as f :censor: :censor: k, tried the sidelight - didn't work either, tried the brakelight - worked ans then tried the foglight - worked!!!

I thought we had blown a fuse but i checked the fuses and they all seem all right but i know i've blown the bulb for the sidelight!!!

Has any1 any idea why the right indicator does not work whereas the front 1 goes as fast as f :censor: :censor: k? The new lexus lights also had 2 green and white wires sticking out of them and i wondered if they were earth wires but we never connected them cos we didn't know how!!! has that got anything 2 do with it?

Any response would be super!!!

indicators are all connected on 1 circuit, when its flashings it means 1 of them are not working, it could be the wireing or the bulb, try the bulb first, as for the spare wires, I wouldnt know as I cant see it, should get mine today if not then monday

i thought that wos only for the headlight aswell!!!

Checked the bulb its fine but i'm still wondering why the front indicator went as fast as anything?

How do u know if u've blown a fuse by the way?

Oh and 1 other thing, do u need 2 get specialist bulbs or should any bulbs fit in the Yaris? I went shopping for a rear sidelight/brakelight 1 today and they are all different from the 1's i have currently!!

Cheers

it is normally said with headlamps but its always good practice on any bulb cos the crap that comes from ya skin can still damage the tougher glass on other bulbs

its not the fuse, otherwise none of the indicators will work,

2 types of bulbs (indicator)

Bulb should read PY21w on side of bulb.

The pins on the bulb are offset

Bulb should read P21w on side of bulb.

For cars that have had clear lenses retro fitted.
