Rav 4 Roof Bars

Hi Everyone

I have the mis-fortune of having a german supplied 2007 Rav 4,

according to my local toyota dealer, my car does not exist on his parts database,

and he wil not undertake any work on the vehicle because'it's left hand drive' and you never know what might happen........

I need to by some parts, in particular the roof bars which go lenghtways, i seem to remember an earlier thread about these being a

retro fit?

Can anyone help please?

welcome to this fount of all knowledge. Some of it can be relevant and most of my posts are not! However I'm sure you're right that there were posts recently about these.

I'd contact Toyota and ask them to explain why they sell cars that are badged Toyota but not kept on their database!! Copy it to your local trading standards for effect!

I reckon you need to find another - helpful - dealer and let your local one carrying on commiting commercial suicide with his attitude.

In the meantime - goto www.toyodiy.com/parts/ and plug in your VIN # (It even supports LHD !!!!) and you should be able to find the parts you are after.

and here is a post with some part numbers (I cannot imagine the LHD rails will vary from the RHD rails, but don't quote me!!)

The car will exist on the dealers parts catalogue, it wont appear on the accessory catalogue, which only holds data on cars sold by TGB. I cant see there being a problem with fitting, its the same car, just someone made a mistake with the steering wheel PM me for more details & prices
