Warranty

Hey guys,

Well my warrenty is just about to end on my 55 Plate CTS, ends on the 1/11/08

What things should i be looking out for to get replaced before it ends? (obviously only if it needs it) but i'm on about commom problems etc? i definatly think my passenger side window regulator needs doing (had the drivers side done and its starting to show the same symtoms) The suspension creeks on the rear of the car when staionary and pushing down on it and once when coming to a stop, the passenger side door seal is split, & the brake discs are quite rusty and rust very quickly on the face & the engine seems to idle very high on start up (at around 1500rpm-2000rpm) :S

do any of the above bar the window regulator seem viable?

Are there any other commom problems or issue???

Thanks

Craig

My suspension give creaks when you first get into it, same prob with the disks as you and I also have the high idle on cold start. Think that's normal for this engine. My car prob has alot more mile than your one.

Read my comments in the avensis forum.

Do not buy a toyota warranty they will not pay out read the small print.

They use the wear and tear and stripdown policy.

Better to buy a warranty direct policy better cover and wear and tear covered.

I think you will find that the suspension creak and relatively high idle when cold are both normal with the E12 Corolla.

Nonsense!

Toyota extended warranties out perform ANY policy you can buy on the net. They may not be cheaper, but the coverage is superb

Get your car booked in with your dealer ASAP, get them to check it over and get any work completed within the next few weeks. Your warranty is 3 Years, NOT 3 years and a day, and I reported this fault to you in 1942. :D: I cant stress enough about getting the work done BEFORE the warranty expires

Kingo

Starts off at around 1400rpm then fairly quickly (within a minute or so) slowing to around 1100ish rpm before I pull away. Hot idle is somewhat less of course.

Well its passed it mot :D & been serviced and the cost was £180.66 but that included a passenger side wiper, rear wiper and pollen filter.

Also what can i say about the warrenty????

i complained about the discs being rusty, having alot of rust pitting and being quite spongy..................... so they have replaced all 4 discs and new pads all round :D

Also the passenger door seal was split so there replacing that

passenger window regulator is also being replaced :D

All in all a very good experience from the inchape garage :D
