i have got a corolla of autotrader and found out the previous owner only had the car for 3 months and it has 9 months left can it be transfered to my name if it is a used car warranty

Yes it can, if you have the documents there should be a name transfer form. Fill it in and send it off or contact toyota direct and let them know of the situation.

checked the paper work and i can't find it i know there is warrenty with the car

Then contact Toyota UK (and ask to be put through to warranties section) and quote reg number - this will tell whether or not it's covered.

A lot of 'so called' used car warranties are nothing more than a mechanical breakdown insurrance policy (which is FULL of disclaimers and get out clauses!). Thankfully the Toyota used car warranty is not one of these and IS backed/managed by Toyota UK (and from personal experiance I can vouch for fact it is GOOD and decent).
