hi,

ive been looking at current aygo ICE installs and many are only using low powered subwoofer systems.

im looking to install a 1500w rms amplifier with 2 10" Re Audio subwoofers.

just want to know how many amps the alternator on the aygo is rated at??? i know a mates Smart car is rated at 70 amps and hes running to 2 batterys and 2000w rms.

hope the alternator in a aygo is something similar.

any help appreciated.

Thanks!!

P.S. Its a 1.0 litre petrol PEPPI version, if that make a difference :S

It's a 70amp Denso with integrated regulator.

It's a 70amp Denso with integrated regulator.

what does the intergrated regulator do?? is the alternator output adjustable or anything???

do you know what kind of optima Battery will fit at the front?

The regulator makes sure the output doesn't get any higher than 14,4V, any higher will blow your Battery.

Some alternators have external regulators, this one explicitly states it's internal...

Standard Battery is 55Ah from the top of my head and I believe a 65Ah will fit too, since the tray

is large enough to accomodate a larger batery for the Diesel (or Diesel in Cold Climate).
