As regards visual differences, the T Sport has 17" 8 spoke Rims, two tone Grey Leather and a rear Spoiler. Exact spec. differences are more difficult as they changed when the T Sport was face lifted in Autumn 2002.

Originally there was a VVTLi 190 and a VVTLi T Sport. Mechanically identical but the T Sport had nicer 17in alloys and two-tone leather interior. Also Climate Control was standard on the UK T Sport whereas some early 190s had standard A/C. There's a fair few imported 190s kicking about which don't have the same spec as the UK cars - mainly paint colour and equipment differences.

After the late facelift the 190 tag was dropped and the amalgamated the two in to the Celica T Sport. Generally the fit and finish was much improved and the interior plastics were a lot better.

If you can afford the post-facelift definitely go for that over the earlier cars.
