Toyota Dealer Warranty

my car is under the dealer's warranty but problem is, i bought the car from a toyota main dealer which is over 100 miles away :o

Does any one know if i can take my car to a local branch (3 miles) of the dealership instead of taking a whole day off work ?

Also, the dealer in question has failed numerous times to repair my on-going problem, i would like to let my local branch to have a look at it. I dont see the point in the warranty if the garage doesn't seem to care about rectifying the problem.

Any help most appreciated

Yep ............ if you have the official Toyota warranty then you can take your motor to any Toyota dealership.

Yep ............ if you have the official Toyota warranty then you can take your motor to any Toyota dealership.

cheers teyadog....... this was not pointed out to me in the numerous visits i made the long tedious journey, they always said the car has to go to the dealer which sold the car.....and the fault is still unfixed.......

Toyota warranty is not a toyota warranty it is run by another company.

Fact all toyota warranty leaflets are wrong they say speak to the dealer,however the dealer has to ring and they send out an independent assessor this takes time and no service car.

Also they then ask you the customer to pay out the stripdown cost even when a approved garage has said faults present.

Why strip down to look at a leaking cylinder head gasket and Water pump.

Gaskets either work or not water pumps the same a leak is a leak and thus why does toyota UK let the UK customers be ripped off and the dealers sell poor Warranties.

I have driven many cars and do feel the quality and support from Toyota is poor and as toyota is number one they should help customers out.

We have 6 toyotas in the family and my Avensis is ill real ill.

Duff inlet manifold and water pump and cylinder head gasket.

Yep 4 years old and needing major work.

Will i buy another Toyota depends how and how quick this car is fixed.

ALL TOYOTA OWNERS WITH THE TOYOTA EXTENDED WARRANTY READ THE SMALL PRINT WHICH THEY HAVE NOT SENT YOU AND SEE THEY ARE RIPPING US ALL OFF.

You have to pay for a stripdown yep the customer pays and then the assesor can say no and then why but a Approved Toyota Warranty.

Ask what they cover and see how they are ripping us all off.

Toyota uk are not bothered BUT TRADING STANDARDS AND THE FSA are yep Toyota wants to go to court and havve to explain the lack of telling the truth and standing by their own written words.
