Dear All,

Have just got a 04 T - Sport, looking to add things to it...what do you suggest?

Also can you suggest a place to get Aluminium foot plate and pedals for the car or should I just get a set from Toyota direct?

Thanks in advance.

Nick

Why do you want new ones, t-sport comes with them as standard?

Some 04's are Pre-Facelift, other than that i would ask the same thing!

Most 04's are Pre-Facelift, the Facelift version came out on 54

However there are a few 04 Facelift's but i mean a FEW! ;)

P.S. welcome to the club!

Thanks for the welcome.

Hope I can find out the best things to do for my pre-facelift that makes it better...

Very Happy so far, but know it can be better :)

What are you looking for? Performace? Style? Handling...?

http://www.tte.de/cm_corolla_E12_Facelift.htm is not a bad place to start - everything should be purchasable from a Toyota dealer, although some dealers are more awkward about getting stuff for you than others. http://www.fensport.co.uk is dedicated to Toyota's, as there's some T-Sport specific stuff in there (although not much). http://www.envyperformance.com could be worth a look to start off with as well. And of course e-bay. There's a few Toyota dealers have e-bay shops where the odd bargain can sometimes be found!

How you liking Lift? :D

Sorry for being dim but what's this lift you all refer to?

It's the L in VVTL-i

The engine has two cam profile's, the racing cam kicks in at 6,200rpm

Lift feels a bit like a turbo kicking in and it's sooooo addictive! :D

Hi Congratulations on the purchase & welcome!

Mods that I would do:

1) Lower the car (approx £300 through a dealer)

2) Change the Speakers (£100 approx)

3) Tint rear 3/4 windows (£150 approx)

4) Chrome boot strip (A must!) (£20 on ebay)

5) Add a underseat sub ( I have one coming up for sale soon ;) - cheap )

6) TTE front skirt (about £100 if on eBay - rare)

7) TTE exhaust (£250 approx from dealers - doesnt include fitting)

8) TTE Front grille (£ no idea but available through dealer)

9) Change the alloys

10) Induction Kit (£90 - £180)

Some mods wont be to some peoples tastes but that is what I would do (without money and insurance getting in the way  )

Good luck - hope the modding bug doesn't hit you hard

Thanks for that!

VVT is variable valve timing isn't it? I thought that was the different cam profile that activates as the engine revs rise?

Found this on Wklipedia:

VVT-i - Continuously varies the timing of the intake camshaft, or both the intake and exhaust camshafts (depending on application).

VVTL-i - Continuously varies the timing of the intake valves. Varies duration, timing and lift of the intake and exhaust valves by switching between two different sets of cam lobes.

I see the difference now

Its a bit like an !Removed! at 6200 revs!

The 2ZZ-GE engine (as installed in the Celica and Corolla T-Sports, as well as a Lotus (Elise, or Exeige, I can't remember) has a second set of high profile cams that the engine moves in at 6,200 revs, taking it to just over 8,000 revs. The feeling is much like a small-ish turbo kicking in, and as long as you have the grip, its sure to bring a smile to your face! If you're in the wet though, you just spin your wheels at 6200 in any gear up to and including 3rd, so the feeling is lost a little... Its always good fun though :D

Also does anyone know a good place in the South East that could look at the scratches / paint chip damage I have on the car bodywork. I also have door knock damage on the panel strips on the doors is it best just to get them replaced rather than repaired?
