Steering Grinding Noise...

Hi all,

I've had this problem for a couple of weeks now, gradually getting worse. She's a 1992 G-Limited import non-turbo.The steering became heavier and heavier. At first i thought i had a PAS pump/relay problem but after much research on here,i've come to realise it's mechanical as the pump works fine.Last night i started the car and stood with my head in the frunk whilst turning the wheel (very stiff) and could hear a grinding noise coming from undernath right up the front next to the inner offside wheel.

Has anyone had this problem? If so,can you give me an idea of what it could be/repair cost??

Your help is much appreciated.

pretty hard to diagnose without hearing/seeing m8,

could be any moving part of the suspension i'd jack the car up take the wheel off n do further testing from there and give it a good inspection.

Thanks Mo...Taking it to the garage tomorrow...I think i better leave it to someone who knows what they're doing.I just thought that somebody on here would have had similar symptoms in the past.
