:bag::bag::bag::batman::bag::bag::bag:

Reading through all of this everything points to how GREAT the RAV is...

I do believe that all new RAVs have got ESP and some have even got VSC...

:bangin: JOIN :bash: :group-cuddles: the Ravvers ... you know you want to REALLY!!!! ;)

If that dont work fellow Ravvers... then I think :ph34r: Chatman :ph34r: needs to give it another try.... :unsure:

Only bin in the previous CRV and thought not as good dynamically as my old 4.2 RAV.

The boot space on the 4.3s is a definite improvement on the old model. which just as well cos without roof rails except on the base model means u cant use a roof box etc unless you stump up oodles of cash for the optional extra roof rails! Again except for the base model they come with automatic electronic controls for traction stability and 4wheel drive. Personal thing but would prefer to be in charge manually to select 4 wheel drive in normal driving conditions admittedly you can lock diffs and 4 wheel drive for the slippery shi* which found useful when towing up a beach.

Talking to mates Honka reliabity appears as good as Toyotas ( will now go away and say 6 Hail Marys) . Whatever you do dont get a T/SR 180 unless u want the doggies and have a bank account not in Iceland to pay for the Bridgestone SSR r/f tyres !!!

Best Regards,

John

:toot::toot: The Lure of the Rav is working .... :hokus-pokus:

If I'd have the choice again I'd go for a XT5 Diesel.... Although I did like the power of the T180 I would have hated to get a puncture and have to replace a runflat tyre and doughnut... :angry:

As for the spray gunk stuff on the XTR - again all just a gimmick... I dont think anything is better than having a propper spare wheel ready for use if you need it... Then again that's just my opinion... ;)

So is it too early to say welcome to the funny farm or do you still need some GENTAL ( :ph34r::boxing: :crutchy: :boxing::bash::bash::bash: :crutchy: :ph34r: ) Persuasion????

Regards

Rob

well I can say there isnt much to pick between them, I have a 2004 Rav3 XT3 5 door and my wife has a 2000 CRV 5 door. Both are auto and the CRV is great because the gear lever is on the steering column so there bucket loas of space in the front. The boot floor is much higher in the CRV, but the dog likes that cause he can see out easily. Theres not a great difference in boot space , the CRV is a little bigger. Drive wise the Rav feels more like a car and the CRV a bit more like a minibus. CRV has slightly less grip than the Rav as it is 2wd and auto switches to 4wd when it thinks it needs too, bit slow doing so sometimes though.
