Bothy - thanks for posting the pics. I do have the sample cut off nut you sent and since posting on the forum, i asked around at work and one of the 'boys' has found a TSW wheel supplier and kindly phoned up for me to see if they have the nuts. They want me to take one of the wheels down to them but they are pretty sure they will have the right ones. Cost = £1.24 per nut which i thought was pretty good. I will try and go tomorrow - its been v.hetic this week, ive not had chance to think!.

Thanks again.

Houston we have a problem....... :(

I went to said garage yesterday and the guy said he didnt have any suitable nuts and i would have to go to a TSW dealer and he promptly recommended one round the corner..... so i went there and the guy looked at the wheels, went round the back and came back shaking his head. So i asked if he would order them in and he looked doubtful but made a phone call and came back to say that alloy style is 5 years old and they dont make the nuts for it anymore....he said they (i assume he called his supplier) are out of stock and they wont get anymore. Whats more he said that particular model wheel has a very specific sized\shaped nut so he doubted i would get any anywhere!!!!

So i'm a wee bit stuck!

Any further suggestions guys? :help:

I'll phone the guy that I bought them from to see if he has any or can source them. At his shop/fitting bay, he has an enormous box of wheel nuts.

For interest, I had my MAK Mirror wheels drilled out slightly and those nuts cut, to get the wheel onto the RAV. I wonder if the nut is slightly bigger than the norm....it seems odd that a nut is manufactured in a non-standard size though? The stud size of the RAV is standard so there must be something about. I'll also find out if the cut down nut could still be safe to use, and whether I can get nuts for my MAK wheels. I think the nut has to be on the stud about 4 threads (I was told that).
