Dashboard Lights

Hi All,

I'm looking at a 2005 Avensis 2.2 D4D (it appears to be the highest spec available from what I read, it just doesn't have leather). However I haven't been able to drive it at night and I actually need a very simple and specific information regarding how bright is the dashboard:

- assuming you drive with normal lights (no high beams, no fog lights) and you have no "alarms" on-board can/will ALL the lights on the dashboard/navi/etc be dimmed?

- if you make the lights as dim as possible are they like ... really dim (this is what I want)?

Do you have the owners manual? Mine (2008) model shows how to do it (4 levels of brightness, settable for lights off & lights on) ... dunno if you can on 2005 models... however I've not yet read through the sat nav manual to find out if that is dimable...
