I have driven a grand total of 4 miles in my newly-acquired aygo! It's a 5dr+ manual in carbon quartz with 6000 dealer-miles on the clock. A little louder than I remember on the test drive, but the plush loan Aurises (Aureii?) I've had for the last fortnight may have temporarily altered my perception of driving noise! Having waited 3 weeks, I'm just glad to have it, and looking forward to the countryside run to work tomorrow. Very pleased to see that my ginormous laptop-bag (has room for a 1990s portable printer) isn't too fat for the "galoshe" (can't brring myself to call it a boot), and my faavourite thermos cup doesn't rattle around in the cupholder. That's the important bits out of the way - I'll have a look at trivia such as roadholding and fuel economy tomorrow! Yippee!

Parked alongside a colleague today who was forced to trade is mini for a mondeo recently with much wailing & nashing of teeth. As we opened our boots together, I noted that I could just about park on his parcel shelf. His smile diminshed a little when i told him how long ago I last filled up! Enjoying watching the fuel-gauge and odometer in tandem (and occasionally the road!)

What's an "odometer"? Is that an Americanism? Honestly I don't know!

So you probably never noticed the letters "ODO" or "TRP" on the little display where the fuel gauge also lives ? :D
