Reverse Gear Beep

I have recently bought a toyota vitz 2003 model 1ltr...and the annoying reversing beep is driving me crazy lol.. I know that it is possible to remove it but could anyone explain to me how?

You can locate the reverse sensor ECU/wiring (usually placed behind the trim panel on the lefthand side.

When you find it either remove the fuse from the feed wire or unplug the beeper from the ECU.

OR fit a reverse sensor switch and you can turn them back on again if required

I haven't got parking sensors...the beep is just a beep that goes on every time you put it into reverse....it has got absoluately no use lol

Hi

Obviously only a feature in Malta, we don't have it in the UK

Get the beeper going and go hunting for it.... be carefull that the unit its in doesn't do anything else, on the Soarer for example the reverse beeper box also does the interior lights, you just want to disable the beeper not the whole thing...

Think its a Euro or a Jap thing. The Vitz that my wife has, which is imported from Japan, has that annoying noise too. Wierd how small details change from region to region
