TOYOTA Hi Lux 1995 2.8D - a real one not a poser's wagon :) :) - Carpets???

There is a rumour that the Laws in Cyprus regarding vehicle lighting might change to enforce headlights being on ALL the time - like a Volvo. This should be a good thing since when it was introduced into Denmark, there was an immediate 30% drop in RTAs - whether they crept back again as the experiment continued, I do not know.

However, RTAs are quite high here normally amongst the kids who drive as if they are brain dead but funnily enough, they do not seem to drive very fast, just stupidly - fishtailing and wheel spins due to poor accelerator control and misjudging bends and road surface conditions, especially after rain - rain being very rare here, the conditions are always 'new' to the brain dead, that is.

Anyway sorry for the digression, back to lights.

How can I rewire the truck's system so that the lights come on when the car's engine starts - I understand that the Volvo's system switches the lights OFF whilst the starter motor is turning???

I have the skills to do the job myself but since most car electrics are Earth Return, one mistake can cause havoc... plus I do not have wiring schematics.
