Hi Everybod !

I've been driving a 260+BHP Nissan 200SX for the last couple of years, but with the current fuel situation, decided to try out the petrol sipping Aygo. I recently took a test drive in one and fell in love with the little car!

I saw a nice Aygo Blue at the local Toyota dealership (Vantage York) so thought I'd take a test drive. I took my wife with me too, just to have the voice of reason with me.

As it turns out, she was as taken with the Aygo as me, and we left having ordered one each !

Needless to say, I've now got a 200SX to sell, but with the petrol saving, the Aygo is actually going to pay for itself !

So anyway, hello to you all! I'm sure you'll be seeing me around in the Aygo Club.

Cheers

Griff

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

A good question! I test drove originally in a Slate Blue car, but I have to be honest, I really didn't like the colour at all! It was only afterwards that I realised the previous Lagoon Blue existed, so I'd been keeping my eye open for a low mileage example.

I finally managed to get a Lagoon Blue with 7k on the clock. While Mrs Smoothound got a Silver Aygo Plus with about 10k on. It's quite funny because as we were test driving the Lagoon blue car, we were telling the salesman how we didn't like silver cars as they were common, and it wasn't a very exciting colour. But then this silver one just jumped out and said "Buy Me!", it was easily the cleanest example on the car lot, not a single stone chip or scrach on the car, and the clear coat still looks all glassy and deep.

Just waiting for the finanace to come through then I can go and pick up my new baby :D

Still haven't named the car yet (yep, I'm one of those sad folk that name their cars). My old FTO was "Smoothound" (hence the handle) and the SX was called "Taz" after my cat.

I promised not to. But probably some minor stuff like alloys, and dash bulbs (blue of course!). Any maybe an air filter...and that exhaust in the brochure looks nice, but only with the rear skirt....

Oh dear, here we go again
