Carina E Gti 173bhp

Hi people

I just bought a 1992 K carina gti. Ive been told it has 173bhp? its a very nicecar but needs an ABS pump and a HUB. Now i know the parts are hard to find used, but can anyone help me out here as to what other parts from other toyotas would also fit

Hi mate. Sorry to say but the 1992 models are 158bhp unless its had the later engine put in there? Alot of the parts are the same as the Mr2/Celica so try using that when looking for the parts i'm sure alot of scrap dealers should have those.

Thanks for the advice..i will try looking into the mr2/celica sections. The guy i bought it off insisted it was a 173bhp, he had it for last 9 years and he seemed to know alot aboutthe gti. Oh well, its a great drive and im happy with it so its all good....thanks for your response too

hello i try to be simple, dont can write very good English!i only now that the Carina Gti from 1992 have a 3S-Ge 2 generation motor that main they have only 158 bhp

the carina after 1992, they have a motor 3S-GE 3Generation (173bhp) but your friend have maybe put the 3generation motor in a 1992 carina E modell!

The Carina E 2.0 GTi was basically a 4 door version of the 1996 gen 6 2.0 GT Celica, with a very similar drive train, so i guess parts from the a UK 2.0GT COULD well fit .
