Rav 4.2 Wing Mirror.

Hi there,

This is my first post. I'm after some advice regarding the nearside wing mirror fixings for my Rav 4.2. Some kind individual recently decided to clip the wing mirror and it ended up folded back on itself. Consequently, unbeknown to myself, one of the three torquex headed screws that hold the mirror in place has disappeared. I've just ordered a new screw from Toyota but I forgot to ask about what the screw fitted into. What I'd like to know is there a way of taking the plastic wing mirror casing off to check the fittings inside.

Any advice is welcome.

Obviously you didn't watch becky on Coronation Street last week remove the mirror from jasons van. It seems you should hang on the mirror and eventually it releases and comes apart into 2 bits.

And after that, I should apologise and welcome you to your first post on this forum!! Have you placed your vote re having a RAV?

I know one of the experts on the 4.2 will be along when the train gets in later......
