Why Is This So Expensive?

First its being sold by a seller with no history or rating. I tend to use eBay either to sell off surplus, or as a cheap way of trying to hike a price and find someone keen enough to pay - and it does work.

This car looks in nice condition, and perhaps someone who travels to Europe would see advantage in lhd. However, for a 9 year old car, its way over priced.

RAV4s are over-engineered - especially the 4.1. The mileage is immaterial as the age of the car is more important. Whats it been doing for 9 years? Has it ever had a good run to heat the engine up and burn off the crap that builds up? Has it been sitting for 10 months a year in a holiday home garage? I'd actually be very wary of touching it - unless of course the mileage is guff which is possible. You can tell its use from wear on the carpets and the structure of the drivers seat foam. These show up true use more than the speedo.

With the value of the euro just now, bringing cars to the UK is expensive in currency exchange terms. The RAV is a good car and sturdy enough to survive trips to Europe and the ski slopes but its a bit of a niche market I'd think. Someone in that position would probably buy a newer car is my guess.

Watch what price it goes for if at all.

In the meantime, wanna buy a minibus??

Hi Sally, I received your message, but was not able to reply for some reason.

My rav 4 XTR has only had one wiper blade and one Battery in eight years. The tyres are the originals. I have to admit it has only got 32,000 miles on the clock.

A superb machine in every way. Climate control, sunroof, cruise control. I average about 45 mpg. Hope this helps.
