Advice On Selling?

Hi

I was wondering if anyone had any 'tips' on selling cars privately. I have been trying to sell my Gen7 Celica for a while now with no success! :(

It has been on pistonheads and autotrader but only got a couple of random emails that never turned into anything! Only selling as looking for something a bit more 'driver focused'! Trade in values I have been quoted have been obscenely low!

Any help much appreciated! B)

Cheers

Steven

have you listed it at the right price? check autotrader for a while and compare your price to similar gen7's.

Now is NOT a good time to be selling though mate, credit crisis and all that, but if your buying, fantastic time. also everyone is saving up for christmas now, because at this time of year the autotrader book goes really thin (i.e not alot of cars for sale)

Best bet is to wait til the new year!!

Yeah buying would be great right now! Looking for a vx220 or elise and there are many bargins about just now but some dealers have been offering silly money for mine!

I had looked to see what others were advertised at and there seems to be such a huge gulf between cheap ones and way over priced!! Main problem i see is that Celica's are rare enough for 'jo public' not to consider it when buying a car but then not rare enough for a car enthusiast! For someone looking at a 01/02 pre facelift model prob wont see the point in paying more for a '53 Plate facelifted model! Boo :(

Cheers for the reply!

Steven

Thanks Turtle...nice car, shame that they are so hard to shift but I suppose they have a limited market. I think I`ll go for a 2006 one if I can get one at the right price, but i am having the opposite problem to you...I have the cash but can`t get a decent price when I ring up!
