Yay, Another resistor inside a fancy box with wires hanging out! What joy....

I've known a few people to use these type of things, usually ends up naffing the engine. Mind they were only 1996 Corsas for E.G.

Edit: Just noticed his frequently asked questions. That's a lot of questions for only 2 Feedback points!

It's a bit overpriced at 1p if you ask me  A waste of a postage stamp!

John,

1p for the chip, £2.49 for the postage! Nevermind 36p for a firstclass stamp! hah....

a warning for anyone who does decide to buy it.

my mate bought one for his old vw polo and at first it seemed like it was adding something but in the long term it messed up his car! he had all sorts of power problems, fuel economy went crap, sometimes his car would drive normally and then at times it would feel like it was braking on its own, as in the there was alot of lag in the throttle response where the car would drag fall behind even though his foot was on the pedal and other problems!

i mean come on......30+bhp for £29.95?

if it sounds to good to be true......it probably is

This is how:

I brought one of these for a skoda felicia estate.

It cost me £5.00 :o

It did precisely NOTHING!!!!!!!!

I removed it from the engine, and, using the kind of skill that only a dissatisfied person could muster, I threw it in a hedge.

(I later improved the performance of the skoda greatly by selling it and buying a Corolla !!!!! ;) )

If you are referring to the ones made by TTE, then yes they do work.

They might make a disclaimer, but the disclaimer is probably illegal IMHO

You cannot absolve yourself from the sale of goods act (or any other law) by writting a disclaimer

If you bought it via "Buy it now" you would also be covered by the distance selling regulations too
