Sky Insurance 20% Discount - Sure!

My wife and I just got a pair of Aygos and have been shopping around for insurance. As I'm already insured with Sky, I recommended them to her. She gave them a call, and sure enough got a reasonable quote off them. I then told her about the 20% discount for TOC members (I already get SXOC and FTOOC discount), so she joined up, then gave Sky a call to see about her 20% discount.

Surprise, surprise, the quote didn't get any cheaper! They'd already given her "the best price"....sure! So what's the 20% discount if anyone can call up and get the best price?

Surely the point is that you get the best price, plus 20% discount? Hence the phrase "20% discount"????

I have been sceptical about the discount for a while, and a few others on the FTOOC and SXOC have had similar experiences.

I'm sure many of you may *think* you have 20% discount. But perhaps try a new quote from scratch, but ask for the discount *after* you've had your quote, you may be surprised at their response!
