Engine Management Light

2004 Celica VVTi 140bhp

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. My engine management light swtiched on all of a sudden lastnite. The car drives pretty much the same but i'm getting paranoid that something might be wrong with the car. I have checked all my fluid levels and they are all fine and the car is regulary serviced.

Thought i'd mention one thing, the car always made a high pitched noise along with the rev counter especially at low revs. I don't know if its just me but the noise has seemed to get slightly louder

Can any help with this
