Front Doors Locking Not Working

I have an 03 t4 and the front doors will not lock or unlock using the remote. I took it to my local toyota dealer for an inspection. The tecnician said it looks like both locks have jammed and it will be £400 + to fix. Has antone got any ideas on this as I thnk it could be an electrical problem.
