I want to get a spare key fob off eBay and get Toyota to re-program it. Trouble is my fob is so old the sticker has disappeared off the back with the model number and such like on it. If i buy a similar fob off eBay will it do the trick or do you really have to know the model number of the fob?

The dealer should normally be able to find all information about the key as long as you give them the chassis number of the vehicle.
