T180 Ipod Kit......help!

I am new to the forum so hello to all. I hope someone might be able to help asnwer a few questions I have. I have a 57 plate Avensis T180 with what I believe to be a Aisin B9010 sat nav. I want to buy and install an Ipod integration kit but not the Toyota one as it would cost circa £270. I was looking at some of the following but am having issues getting a yes or no on compatiblity with my system form manufacturers. One even said the only way to check is to buy one and try it!!

1) http://www.diceelectronics.com/Merchant/me...ICE_IPOD_TOYOTA

2) http://www.dension.com/icelinkone.php (Although I hear this one has quality issues)

3) http://www.connects2.com/c2search.aspx?cat...2&modID=595 (Product No. IPLUGRDS-N)

4) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volkswagen-IPOD-Adap...bayphotohosting (Although one specifically for the Toyota and NOT VW)

Is there anyone out there that has knowledge of these products or another make/model that would do the job. I want to be able to control the unit from the steering wheel controls and have track listings on the sat nav unit and fit the ipod in the glove box.

Also, due to the obscene charges for fitting the unit would anyone know where I might get a manaul on removal of that sat nav unit. I'm pretty sure I could remove it without a manual but always easier and faster with one.

Thanks for your help in advance and I hope someone out there might have experience with Ipod kits and be able to help.

Corey

I use my TOMTOM Go 520 works fine. I got an iPod cable and you can use the built in FM tuner to play the music through your car Speakers.

Thanks for that but the radio of the avensis is not actually one of the strongest on the market.

i lose the signal even when I go to work!!!

So imagine what the ipod will sound like via FM?

I am looking for an intergrated ipod system and I am willing to install it myself.

Cannot be hard.

We're looking for the same for both our Avensis and Auris and have been recommended to try DICE. Other than that, I noticed that Halfords do one for various models, I think it was called an IQ or similar. If you have a search on eBay you can find the Toyota i-pod version for around £120 which is a better price, I think it's from a Toyota dealer who lists on there. I'd be interested to know what you decide and if it works!

My iPod/car system of choice is the Harman Kardon Drive & Play. Can be had off eBay for £25 quid these days. Would also need an interface connector, I used a Connects2 interface to connect to my CD changer port.
