You dont say what model of Rav it is, but I reckon its the auto dipping function for your mirror.

Its not a button its an LED sensor which stops you being dazzled by the rear veiw mirror by the vehicle behind you.

Could be a button, on the Mk2 Rav you can switch it on and off.

Chances are you do not have the Sat Nav controller in the car, just the Head Unit that has the Navi Button (have a look under front passenger seat just to check :) )

So to get Toyota Sat Nav, you need to get the sat nav unit (TNS 200 or TNS 300 for your age RAV I would guess), plus the loom, and the Sat Nav CD or DVD to match the sat nav unit, plus the GPS Antenna

Then you will have Sat Nav working on a small display in black and amber :g: Much more worthwhile to buy a portable Sat Nav unit IMHO - or if you want integrated, get a decent head unit with full colour screen and built-in Sat Nav.

There are a few posts in the RAV4 section discussing Sat Navs - both Toyota and aftermarket that may be of interest to you
