Rav4 Light Problem

Hi,

I have a problem with my 1996 Rav4 SWB.

Tonight all the lights apart from the headlights went out?

These are the Dash, tail, and brake lights.

Indicators and hazards are working fine.

Ive checked all fuses and they are all fine.

ANy Ideas??

From memory, the sidelights are on a separate fuse - and there are fuses both in the engine compartment next to the Battery and at the drivers side lower dashboard and also at passengers footwell left side. Although you have checked them it might be a fuse in one of these locations. I don't have the wiring diagram for it just now. If you are around the Glasgow area, I could have a look.....

otherwise an auto electrician is a way forward. Did they all go at once? If so, I wonder if its a relay gone? For that spread of lights, I'd have thought they are on 2 fuses....can't check until daylight tomorrow!

I do stay in Glasgow and it would be very useful to get your contact details since I have a couple of questions regarding the Rav4.

I went back and checked all fuses again (including the ones inside) and 2 of these had blown! I think they went when I was towing a trailer and went through some flood water. Checked the trailer plug and it had water in it.
