Multidrive S Transmission- Can Toyota Assemble It In Auris?

Multidrive S transmission

Multidrive S gives an incredibly smooth, refined shift action, automatically optimising torque and fuel consumption by always using the ideal engine speed. When the engine is pressed a little harder, the transmission operates like a seven-speed automatic, which helps eliminate the characteristic whining associated with CVTs.

The transmission’s Sport mode gives a sportier drive, selecting a more responsive and power-maximising ratio in line with driver input. And for an even more involving drive, the system has a seven-speed sequential manual mode, letting the driver change gear using the shift lever or, exclusively on the 2.0 Valvematic, paddle shifts mounted on the steering wheel.

No doubt it will be available in future models, as the Auris becomes updated/facelifted

Do I detect a hint that a much needed updated/facelifted, Auris is on the way? And with a civilised Auto box. One potential customer awaits.

Please let it be true.

I dont have anything official, Toyota have a massive line-up of new and facelift models for 2009, IF it was to come, it would be mid to late 2009 IMHO, as Quarter 1 & 2 will be taken up with 2009 Avensis, IQ and Urban Cruiser

How many people do you want to tell you it'll be in quarters 3 and 4 that it'll happen?

Facelift it all they like.Problem is finding customers.Really feel sorry for anyone involved with the manufacture or sale of new cars at the moment.

Other thing is although they are marketing so called special offers and finance deals none of these seem to work in conjunction with each other.

We all know manufacturers need to maintain margin and not destroy used values but the prices for new Auris models really do not bear any reality to the current economic climate.

Not just Toyota guilty of this incredibly Vauxhall have just announced price rises across their range.Exactly what planet are these people living on?

I don't understand - Are you the Police-Man in this forum ?

Your post is not nice and you are only 25 years old (I have 4 sons older then you), and nobody is forcing you to give a post to everyone.

So please don't wast your time on mine posting and please don't calculate how many times I do it.

Good night for you.

I just get the impression you dont actually take in the replies people give you at all. The question has been answered a few times, why ask it again?!
