Gave Lift To A Audi A4 Quattro T-fsi S Line

Had a run with one of these today. I was so proud!

Off the mark the A4 Went, It was a new shape S line 2.0T Had twin pipes aswell. I beleive they have around 217bhp plus tons of torque.

He zipped off and i had to chase, In a straight line, He had a cars length on me from take off so considering it wasnt an equal start, i went through all gears both of us at it. I was slowly catching up nearing him closer but for a moment i thought its going to stay like this as he had a good start and i cant get neck on neck with him. However gear time came so had to change to 4th thinking lets see what happens now stayed in lift and guess what i passed him and just kept going. Left him 3-4 car lenghts.

I can remember in 3rd gear lift the front of his car was a slightly more forward than mine 4th gear came and i went.

If you ever come across one dont be worried, they are fast though the torque on that thing was on another level throughout the gears it just kept going but after a while i did leave it comfortably i even waved at the other driver when i was going past him :).

ahem I guess this was on a private road? :P

The VAG 2.0T engine is used quite a few of the groups car so it's a good thing that you managed to keep your own though I guess the A4 eased off abit for you to take him.

Quite fancy one of these turbo engines in the future.

He was giving it hard, i am certain i took him clean. I could see his gear changes, he was shifting well but because our revs are so long and our top end power is strong, i managed to float past when he was shifting and i was hitting lift, after that he couldnt catch me at all. He did meet me up at the next stop and just sped off angrily.

This is another car has an interesting set of figures - 0-60 in 6.4 or 6.6 (depending on source data) with 208 BHP, but she weighs 1520 Kgs and has 4 wheel drive! How is this possible?

I struggled past an XC90 D5 the other day, all becuase i cant bare the engine sticking at 6,000 RPM whilst the car in front moves over (hitting lift would ram them  ) so i change from 2nd to 3rd, then you start off lift with no torque and have to wait till you get near lift to pass. Its just so uncomfortable all these Revs when you drive a Diesel all day like i do

Yea our t-sport is well under rated it ticks me off now. After that audi today it was a fast audi but i knew the TS is as fast and im lighter lets go and i won clean and comfortably. Plus im stock aparts from lighter rims. But other than that its to under rated, the audi guy was peeeeeeeeeeddddd off

Well done for beating the A4 but ye i gotta admit the cts is is well under rated and hardly anyone knows ov them, which in a way is good coz you leave people shocked loll.

A mate of mines got a type R had a mina mini race but nuffin hardcore iv sat in the car and it truely is rapid. Im waiting to race him as hes placed in a Gruppe M induction kit which is quite known to be good, he dropped £500!! on it.

It'l be interestinggg loll.

I had been waiting for a type r to have a go at. Finally got a chance on a dual carraige way just outside cardiff. Up slip road with him in front and he was going for it. Stayed behind him through 2nd and 3rd but max revs going for 4th and then to 5th . . . . . . he looked gutted.

Theres one thing with the type rs, being so equally matched in power to them weight etc, one will slip, if i had a car lenghts advantage on a type r or maybe 2 car lenghts id stay in front. If it had one on me i wouldnt catch it. Hard to compare, driving is also another thing depends on the drivers.

They do generally pull away after about 80-100 but personally i stopped giving it some after that as im to pretty to die LOL.

does that audi have the same 2.0 tfsi that has the auto box 0-60 in 6.9s ? i.e the same engine in the audi a3 sportback 2.0tfsi 04 onwards (196bhp) , my mams boyfriend has one and i would love to go up against it, the engine sounds soooo dull going through the gears, they do change gears fairly quick mind but it just seems soo boring, and he keeps saying me and my 0-60 in 8 seconds but he wont have it, he also wont go up against me.

no problem. i had been asking on here about mods. Someone mentioned a turbo. Is it worth doing though. This is so much fun for me. I'd been a L/Rover Freelander driver for 5 years so the compressor feels like a racing car to me. I do intend fitting new brakes though (discs and pads). Any i should avoid

borodaz i think it is the same, either way i wasnt impressed tottaly. It was hard to tell how it went it was a straight run, off the light he just put his footdown and i was like WOO RACE lol so i did it to but he was a good car length ahead at take off because i wasnt ready for a run with it.

After that it stayed that way for a long time through the gears. I just remember that it wasnt going any further but i can recall when i changed gear from 3rd to 4th.

What i remember was i noticed when i hit 3rd gear lift he changed gear and my lift kicked in so i managed to pull neck with him straight away. Then when i slammed it in 4th i was at 6krpm and at that point i knew if i caught up with him from 3rd gear i will edge past him at 4th. And guess what i remember pulling away at 4th and slowly got further. We came to a bend so i took the bend as my car is now lowered it stuck on the road well. I started to brake for the track roundabout (lol) and waited there because a pit stop was due(lol) he pulled up next to me and then cut into my lane quite badly. From there i knew that i had smoked him just followed him slowly smiling and then turned into work caar park lol.

The A3 might not be half bad as itll probably be lighter.
