I have a may 03 verso d4d .since the vehicle has been 12 months old it developed a slight misfire at 2k rpm .It has been in and out of the main agents where it has had two turbos 1 set of injectors 1 fuel tank 1 solenoid valve on the injection pump and one modified exhaust system and still the problem intermitantly exhists to the extent that whilst towing a trailer on the motorway and having the engine running at 2k rpm in top gear ,the engine management light came on and the engine went into limp mode 5 times .

I TOOK THE CAR TO THE MAIN AGENT AND THEY PLUGGED IT IN AND CLEARED A TURBO FAULT CODE FROM THE SYSTEM. tHEY TOLD ME THAT IT SHOULD BE OKAY AND TO RUN IT AS NORMAL.

Iam starting to loose all confidence in the car ,I bought the car from new and it has a full toyota service history but looking at the receipts it has never had a fuel filter fitted to it so could this be the problem or could it be the MAF valve .Any one with any help would be greatly appreciated . PS the car has only done 64k and the oil gets changed every 10k . Regards

hello again

yes you're right with MAF sensor.

be cacreful with fuel filter changing/assembly to prevent both O-rings damage and an air penetraiting into the fuel system.

cheers/Igor
