Auris Auto Box...

Hi there Toyota people. I hope that you can help me. I have recently rented a Toyota Auris 1.6 2008 model, which is fitted with an automatic gearbox. However, it seems to be terrible at changing gears, lurches on any gearchange and never seems to be in the correct place. I am totally used to automatic gearboxes and this seems like there is something seriously wrong with it. However, the people I have rented it from say it is normal. Seems like they are feeding me a load of rubbish. Problem is I'm in Russia and I don't speak the lingo, it was hard enough work getting the car in the first place!

Could it be as simple as low gearbox oil? I've personally never driven with an auto box on something with an engine this small, could that have something to do with it? Does anyone else here have a 1.6 with an auto box, does yours drive nicely?

This is SEMI-AUTOMATE gear and not full auto.

the best way is to drive it in Manual Mode.
