T Sport Tte Exhaust

When i fitted a tte exhaust to my t3 before, i had a problem as i wanted to change my backbox only to the tte one! I bought a exhaust off a fellow owners from here and it was from a t-sport and it didnt fit because of the exhaust piping being difficult so if any one iss looking into buying these make sure you buy the right one for your car as the diesels, petrols and tsport pipings are different when you try to fit them ;)

basically the pipe sizes are different so they dont fit directly onto the clamp as the exhaust piping clamp will be a different size on each model.

Had to get the exhaust piping cut and welded in the end.

I never used any sealant on mine, not noticed any blowing yet but time will tell! As Gaz said, mine sits on a slant at the mo but planning to change that asap by modifying one of the rubber mountings.

With your being a pre-facelift I think it'll be fine when connected up

Iv got a pre-facelift and when i fitted mine it was on the slant as well, think its just a design fault. Like alot of u, i also had to modify to get it to sit strait ;)

So basically when the TTE backbox is fitted on it is at a slant?

Anyone got any pics of the backbox on the car?

How hard is it to modify so that it is straight?

Really easy to get it straight, all you have to do is buy a CTS with one already fitted and modified...... that's not much help is it?

Here's how it should look..

The ones the seller has left will only fit the 1.4 and 1.6 petrol. You want it for the t-sport or 2.0 116ps d4d or many be the SR you will need the PZ439-E9714-00.

i have spoken to the seller and he has confirmed this, as I supplied the seller registration number to check. don’t know were parts-king got the info from. As the seller is stating the same information that can be seen below and obtained from the tte website....

TD360-26204-00 Hatchback 1,4l D-4D

PZ439-E9712-00

TD360-26197-00 Hatchback TS+D-4D/116PS

PZ439-E9714-00

TD360-26201-00 Hatchback 1,4l+1,6 l

PZ439-E9713-00

Not sure that all Toyota dealers are clued up on TTE parts. I won some TTE lowering springs of eBay and I emailed the dealer with my chassis number for my T-Sport and he said the parts weren't listed for my car. I brought them in the end following advice from people on here and checking the TTE website for the correct part number.

I got my info from Toyota GB's internal intranet that we use for all our accessory information

There will always be an overlap on certain parts fitting other models, for instance, TGB dont list the sports exhaust for the facelift model, I dont know why, perhaps the slanted fitting being spoken about is the difference??? who knows. So when a part is specifically listed to only fit one car, its not to say it wouldnt fit another car, there may just be a very slight difference in spec/fit and you could get it to fit

Toyota dealers know little about TTE parts because they are not our core business, only recently have the Toyota part numbers been used on the TTE website, because we have no help from TGB sourcing TTE parts, and TTE took it upon themselves to use the Toyota part numbers as well, which I always look to if trying to find a part number. The other problem we find is people wanting to fit, say for instance an post facelift part on a pre-facelift car. The questions we are always asked are "Will it fit and what mods do I have to do" My answer is very often "I dont know" and I try and point them to the forum for answers, many of you guys know far more about your specific models than I do, but I bet I win the competition across the whole model range over the last 30 years ;)

Kingo
