I'm looking to drop the car now that I have the wheels, I've been quoted £95 for P.I springs 30mm drop but Ive been told that they are entry level ones which I dont mind but i'd rather get them right the first time round. Eibach apparently do them but only drop 15mm.

Which ones do you reccomend without paying too much, all advice welcome...

Cheers

H

I recommend getting some of the TTE/Eibach springs as they are much better quality though some owners have reported the PI ones are ok. The PI ones are red springs as opposed to the black springs of the TTE/Eibach ones.

The Facelift CTS is lowered by 15mm already on standard springs.

Fitting the PI/Eibach/TTE 30mm springs will therefore only lower the car another 15mm from standard.

It won't be like a 45mm drop.

Mind you I managed to get TTE ones of Ebay for £94 being the bargain hunter that I am. :D

Noooooo im the bargain hunter trust me  Thats quite handy though, I new the car was already 15mm lower and I assumed it would be 45mm in total.

But I dont get it  tell me if im being dumb but if the springs the car has at the moment is lowered by 15mm, if they come out then doesnt it go back to normal height?

Please xplain the logic behind this, I aint to good with mechanincs

Thanks

Your being dumb :P ;)

The TTE springs will lower the car 15mm further because the std CTS Facelift springs lowered the car 15mm down from the Pre Facelift Cars. This is why the Pre Facelift gets the full 30mm drop because its 15mm high than the Facelift car!

Got it  might as well go for the cheaper option and get p.i springs

i fitted gmax springs to mine, 45 front, it is just on the wheels at the front a really nice drop. Have alook at my car on cardomain.com

the back doesnt lower by much onli again 15mm but it does look very aggresive with the front nose dropped.

Handling is superb compared to before been throwing it round bends, Thankfully my ride is still the same so its not horribly bumpy. The gmax springs only set me back 110 all in all delivered, They are black aswell.
