hi how are you all

my 1993 celica gt is overheating it ran it for an hour today in my drive was looking good all fans were working

we took out to the road it ran fine till we accelerated a bit heavier to go up the hill and the temp started going up

changed thermostat yesterday flushed radiator

i left the radiator cap of wen i started it up in drive today water didnt boil oveer until i reved it

anybody any ideas

think the heads gasket is away

check water and oil level

check air filter and piping for any blockage

if your head gasket has gone you will see thick white smoke from the exhaust

hi it is fitted with a k&n type air filter

i noticed the top pipe on radiator is very hot

the pipe which leads to the thermostat is cold

any more suggestions thanks

water and oil level seem fine

Not always!

Is your coolant system presurising ok? Is the Rad cap good? are you losing any fluid?

I dont know, maybe run the engine for a bit the remove the radiator cap, lol, make sure you stand back

IMPORTANT...............Never remove the radiator cap with a hot engine................SEVERE RISK OF BURNING
