heres a pic of the latest rav in the family :D

my mum had a drive in my white 4.1 and immediately ditched her fiesta, and we scoured the autotrader etc for a couple weeks and found this one. shes a 1999 gxs, in great order with 12 months mot and 6 months tax. few wee niggles though, the alloys are bubbly and have been sprayed over by a moron, so im looking for a set of 4.2 alloys (robert have you any more in the garage?) B)

1st and second gears seem stiff.. she has big miles 126k tho with full toyota history til 100k. we re assuming she hasnt been serviced since 100k so is booked for a service next week

we paid £1700 wot u think?

Looks great.

Those funky alloys look quite nice against the dark body colour.

Good idea to get a service. Might be worth changing the brake fluid at the same time

as it does degrade over time. At least you'll know it's been done.

Wish your mum happy motoring.

another Rav in top notch condition.. those alloys look kindda cool! :D My friend was looking for one like that, but he could only find ones more expensive :s have to try auto trader :)

Either ravs are very durable and age well, or their owners do tend to look after them well? That being said, toyota's in general tend to age very well.

I just saw a 1998 RAV4 in my local AutoTrader ......

£2,500. Less miles on her admittedly, but I would say it makes £1,700 look a smart buy

(I think the RAV4.2 alloys will look much smarter, personally)

Must be RAV 4 give away week, just paid £1,400 for 1999 RAV 4 EX 3 Door with 106,000 miles on clock this morning from local dealer.

12 Month MOT, new front shockers, new Battery and new brake pipes.

Thought I would use it during the winter rather than the GXS but it's in really smart condition and I just found nearly full service history with receipts for all work carried out over the the last six years for previous owner.

There just has to be a catch but haven't found it yet.
