How much memory are you putting in there? Any more than 3GB on a 32-bit OS means it gets wasted.

It only gets wasted until I upgrade to 64bit ;)

I'm putting 4 in to save having just 2, or 3. Haha. and... Is it not more than 4Gb? :P I thought the Vista 32bit system could recognise up to 4Gb....

EDIT: Just noticed why you asked, Ta for that :P Updated previous post to say.

Ah-ha. Just had a quick search:

This is from PCSTATS.com

If More RAM is Better, is a Lot More RAM Even Better?

Short answer, no. If a PC is installed with 4GB of system memory, the computer itself will register 4GB but Windows Vista/XP will not be able to recognize it all. It's nothing to fret over, this is a normal limitation with 32 bit operating systems. The operating system will report 3.5GB or so, but the "missing memory" (varies between 500MB-750MB) is there, reserved for hardware devices.

Article can be found here.

Not sure if you have played Oblivion but its not the same on the PS3, i think RPG/Strategy is best on the PC and Driving/Fighting suits the consoles better IMO.

Same here, except the PS3 as I don't support !Removed!.

So how come you are willing to build a machine to that spec, and then cripple it with malware?

also, anyone play tf2 or something Half-Life/2 based? :0 or cod4.. or Supreme commander? lol or Sins of a Solar Empire? :)

Current spec:

AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition

Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe Motherboard

Corsair Dominator RAM - 4gb 1066

Corsair HX 620W PSU

2X 500 gb Sata 2 Barracuda drives in Raid 0

Sapphire Radeon 3780x2 (single card, twin processor)

All in a sound deadened cooler master atc case

cooled by accustofan "dustproof" fans

Vista Ultimate 64 bit

I like shoot em up games on the PC, as with real time strategy games.. but driving games, fighting games, are best on the consoles (or anything with auto aiming, GTA, Tomb rader etc)

Just been down to both HMV and Zavvi and neither of them are selling it. Sometimes I really hate working in the Square Mile as the shops are tiny and don't carry stock of anything unless it is coffee, sandwiches or alcohol :(

Well im off to a bad start...

Installed and started :) watched opening cut scene... with poor old Einstein getting caught up in RA moral dilemmas yet again... wouldnt be the same without him though...

The all it did on the menu screen was constantly crash and freeze up :(

Tried half a dozen times, before i bunged the disc back in and did a 'check for updates'

Low and behold there is already a patch

Thats just gone on, will report back shortly...

Make sure you get patched to v1.02 before you start :)

Im running it on Ultimate 64bit. Runs sweet as a nut once its patched :)

Although not played any campaigns yet, just nipped through the training stuff... all the controls are the same, but the way stuff works is quite new and interesting so i suggest just watching them through.

And now ive got to go to work for a few hours.... DOH!

I haven't updated yet but it runs perfectly fine on my XP Media center.

Had to tone the graphics down on Terrain and Water to Medium, Left the rest on high. Seems to run fine! I'll try to update again now as it wasn't letting me yesterday.

Nooooooooo no no.

I don't have that PC yet.

This PC is running a AMD x2 5000+, 2GB Ram and a GeForce 7900GS.

It can play RA3 at full settings it's just a bit slow.
