Don't Know If This Is Allowed

I don't know if this is allowed but I will make the report anyway. As you all know I'm a bit disappointed with the Auris for some time now specially because of the small problems I've been having. So I've been checking the market a car that called my attention was the Alfa Romeo Mito went for a test drive today knowing that the Mito is from a lower class of the Auris and that it is almost impossible to compare still I went for it to see if I could adapt. Well I have to say it was almost has returning back to the past the car is small inside I don't see myself driving a car like that every day anymore. The good point is the performance much more power even in the 1.6 Diesel specially when you use the D mode. The suspension also surprised me my Auris makes lots of noise in bumpy roads something this doesn't and also no noises in the dashboard in fact the car is very quite. I guess if I had 5 years less I would buy one but not right now. I don't see many others choices (at my taste) in the market so I guess I will keep my Auris for a little more time after all let's see if they can solve all these bugs because I'm tired of them :P

Hello Grippen

I fully appreciate & share your sentiments, i too am fed up with the problems that dog the Auris , i even went as far as having my car valued today , to be given in part exchange against a Rav 4, virtually all the cars in the showroom had been marked down by at least £4,000 , because of the financial slowdown , my dealers have told me they have seen a 40% reduction in sales, hence the discounts through out their range , but here's the rub.... basically the price of new cars have been discounted by at least £4000 in an attemt to boost sales, therefor the price of a second hand car being offered in part exchange will see a similar depreciation, plus factor in the cars normal depreciation, which basically occurs as soon as you drive the car away from the dealers ,and,.. they offered me £8,500 for my car , against a Rav 4 , that was discounted down to £18,995 , from the normal price of £23,995

In a nut Shell they were telling me that my six month old car with less than 3,000 miles on the clock, had lost £6,000 off its value , so it seems i'm stuck with the auris warts and all for some time yet :(

I had vowed never to touch another toyota again, but if the Rav was within my budget i would definitely switch

Sorry to ear that man. But ye the guy from Alfa also told me I would loose lot's of money. Normally it's not a good deal to give a more or less new car to the brand as trade because they know they can still make a good deal selling yours. A while back when I had my Saxo I tried to give him at Citroen (saxo had not even 3 years) and they were giving much less then a private stand would offer me later. Resuming just try to sell it to a private person or a private stand maybe you can have more profit there. Or just stay with it for a few years and then trade. I will keep mine until 70 000 kms or 4 years which is the limit for the diesel to pay off facing the gasoline one then I will see what I can do. I should try Kia too they want to won so much market maybe they can make better offers.
