what does the ECTswitch do on my granvia

The switch enables you to change the shift points for the automatic transmission. Pushing the switch in will cause the upshifts up to be delayed and downshifts to be earlier, the shifts will also be quicker. Useful when towing a large trailer or caravan and on hilly terrain. Many manufaturers with electronic controlled automatic transmission refer to this option as the "power" or "sports" shift selector.
