Celica Gen 6 Double Din

Hi all,

I've been looking at replacing the single din sterio (which has died) in my 1997 Gen 6 Celca GT with a double din unit and am wondering if any will fit.

It seems each time I find a head unit, I look at the specs and it says it will fit a gen 7 Celica but there's no mention of a gen 6!

The hole in the dash looks big enough for a double din unit though?

Can anyone tell me if a double din unit will fit my car?

I'm looking for one that will fit behind the facia so it looks like a factory fitted unit rather than sticking out past it.

Gen 7 doubles fit gen 6 - wont fit flush though due to brackets positions. sticks out about 1 cm.
