I Thought a translucent wrap might have worked .... Oh well then it's a strip em down but I would buy a used set if you gonna do em yourself just so if it all goes wrong at least you still got some headlights

How much of your trim under the car did you have to lose for your exhausts to fit

When I put mine up on the ramp I noticed all the back end is covered in trim panels

Maybe one light from scrapeyard to see how it works and then open up your own. You will need heat gun to warm them up and open. Then some windshield seal or headlight seal to replace the old one. It's a pain as the old seal is like a concrete but worth the hassle. Here's mine:

Try Oracal film for headlights. That's what's been used to do my rear ones. Everyone said it's impossible but the guy who did it was an expert and there's no bubbles or anything. So if you've got skills with Oracal it's possible to do. Takes some heating and lots of water though.

Head lights look ace!

But oracal is a brand and because of the curvature of the fronts it's impossible to wrap but backs are ok to wrap.

Did you spray your fronts then?

And no trim panels that I can remember on mine.

Thanks. No I opened them up and sprayed the surrounds. This is what I would suggest you to do aswell.

Ah ok then. Rears are also quite curved so I though if they were made it would be possible to wrap also the fronts.

Nice work, must sound nice now.

Please tell us about your headlights. I see you probably have some film on them? Also the front doors, you used some tint film on them? They look darker shade than stock. Athermal film probably?

Thanks for that chaser, makes sense now, I'm going to give this a bash when the weather picks up its cold in my unit at the moment, I expect you used a heat gun and a blade to open them up and window sealant to close them?

Ok I'm sure it will look mint in gold to match your wheels. Yeah heat gun and not very big screwdriver. It will require some serious heating and working with blade along the edge back and forward to get it to slowly open little by little. By rushing you will just melt plastics and brake them. So be really patient. For sealing you can use headlight seal or I used just windshield seal from 3M. Make sure to use a good one and put plenty of it to prevent lenses from misting up from the inside.

I made a write-up in my car's introduction thread. Please take a look here for more detailed instructions.

Best of luck and please post back when it's done!

I am considering getting the Scion iM when it comes out later this year. I believe it is based off your current models Auris. So let me see some more newer Aurises! Here's the link to the Scion - http://www.scion.com/cars/iM2016/

The Scion IM has already been featured on Toyota Owners Club.

The facelifted European Auris was launched in March 2015, and goes on sale in the summer - see:

Thanks, I guess that is why I haven't seen any modified new models. Cheers.

Here's my SR180, completely standard apart from the grill Badge and alloys which I've fitted today (standard ones available if any interest). The only issue I have is that the centre cap is a different colour; has anyone ever seen anthracite ones?

As for the car, it's my first "proper" car since graduating, having always had small cheap cars in the past and I absolutely love it (ignoring the mpg of course).
