HI all. I live in LA but am visiting my parents in London. They were in desperate need of a second car so i helped them buy a really nice 2nd hand 98 Avensis. Its been working great and is such a smooth drive.

My only problem with it was that its gear knob gaiter/boot was worn out so the first thingi did was go on eBay and bought a brand new one. I made sure it was specific for the Avensis but now I'm stuck.... HELP!

What do I do next!?!? The gaiter came with some simple installation instructions but Im not sure how to pull the knob off. Any advice for a desperate girl? Thanks!

Correct, they are screwed on, turn it ANTI CLOCKWISE it is a long thread and can be tight to undo, but it will come off by unscrewing
