so what do I need to do?? I have...

jack stands

a cover

and the best intentions

what am I missing on this list? do I need to use fuel stabilizer? should I put 5w30 in it? what would you recomend?

cheers

I'd suggest the following:

1) Ensure the Oil is either 0W or 5W.

2) Remove the Battery and keep it inside the house. Trickle charge monthly before starting the Car and running up to normal temperature. Set the Heater to hot and have the Air Con on. If you can take the Car on a short run in dry weather, so much the better.

3) Ensure Coolant is up to strength.

4) Ensure Hand Brake is not on.

5) Inflate Tyres to 40PSI to help prevent flat spotting.

6) Leave the side windows slightly down.

7) Don't wash the Car just prior to storing in the Garage.

HTH :)

6 equals the temperature inside/outside the Car to reduce condensation in the interior.

Which part of 2 do you want expanding on?

my friend with a 91 MR2 wants to store his car with mine. he's got a mean turbo setup in his car; does this need special attention when storing for the winter?

Not to my knowledge.

Batteries hate low temperatures so if you can store it in a warmer environment, it will last much longer. As already mentioned, put it on a trickle charge once a month, irrespective of whether you are going to be using it to start the Car or not.
