Toyota Iq Innovations

1) Diff at the front - this might be new

2) Fuel tank under front seats - Honda did the exact same thing a few years ago, Jazz & more recently Civic. Old landrover also had tank under seat but that wasn't a passenger car.

3) Smaller heater & aircon. Not really innovative as much as just being smaller along with the rest of the car.

4) Assymetric dashboard, many are to some extent.

5) Centre take off steering. Arrangement looks similar to 1984 Opel Kadett / Vauxhaul / Daewoo.

6) Slim seats. Bring on the plastic chair, again hardly anything revolutionary.

and the model T Ford had a wheel at each corner, strangely enough, so has the iQ  you would think that something better than the wheel would have been invented by now..........wouldnt you? :naughty:

For those interested we ran a FEATURE ON THE iQ on our website, the full pdf is downloadable which is where the above picture was taken from.

Kingo

The picture came from Toyota, e.g.

Toyota aren't listing "a wheel at each corner" as one of their innovations.

pedantic, I think. Oh wait, my gramma is incorrect and I did not use a capital letter.

Although I like the idea in principle and am all for small cars what does the IQ give you over the Aygo that is not eroded away by the extra cost ?
