Electric Power Steering Modification

I've been searching for a way to make my steering feel "heavier" and i came across this link http://autospeed.com/cms/A_2390/article.html

I've gone for a test drive having my EMPS fuse pulled off and at high speeds , steering feeling is much improved, so i guess that there is room for corrections to it.

Does anyone know how to locate electric steering ECU in my 2004 1.6 Avensis? If i manage to locate it, then i will be able to take the measurements and perform the modification!

Sorry I can't help you but thanks for the link - there are some really interesting articles on that site. I especially like their approach on salvaging items to keep the cost down.
