Hello peeps,just a quickie,very tempted in buying a cts,have the cash ready about £5.5k give or take.Seen a cts for sale.......description..40,000 miles,Rear parking sensors, Metallic Grey, Demo plus 1 owner,Full Toyota service history,Excellent condition inside& out,MOT July 2009,TAX March 2009. £5,300 What do you guys think? im obviously getting a HPI done,apart from usual stuff,is there any thing in particular i need to look out for,as i know fooook all about this engine/car.Used to own a 87 E Ae82 Corolla GT.Any help would be really appreciated....

Firstly what age is the car??? This will determine if its good value!

Provided Lift engages when the engine is warm at 6,200RPM and the clutch feels strong, there isnt a much else to look for except the normal:

Accident Damage

Clean Oil

Genuine Service History

Trustworthy Seller

The HPI check

All the electric's work and she drives ok

Is the car a facelift or pre-facelift?

The Metallic Grey suggests it's a facelift as I this colour wasn't available on Pre-Facelift cars I think assuming it's the dacuma grey colour.

I'm thinking of getting a T Sport, and just wondered if you could give me a bit more info on them about such things as general running costs and reliability. It will be used as a daily car, would describe myself as a 'normal' driver rather than a nippy driver.

MPG doesn't have to be great, my present car is a Mondeo 2.5 V6 which I get around 30-35 on normal driving.

Mine has had a leaky shocker replaced and other than servicing, no other costs.....except mods. Reliabilty has been perfect, touchwood :(

If it helps for comparrison - bought my CTS middle of last month: 2002 (so pre-facelift) 1 female owner, 19,800 miles, Full Toyota Service History, 3 door (carlo blue) no extra to standard spec' apart from the Tsport mats. With 6 months tax, new MOT and tank of petrol it was - £4895, which I think was alright :D
