How much of a drop did you do?

Im not 100% accurate on this becuse the coilovers were mindboggling lol

b4 we fited them we screwed them up a bit to get started thinkin screwin up to compress the spring would lower it - but it doesnt lol :S - so after several times of jacking up the car and lowering it we screwed it back down to near where it was b4 we touched it and hey presto - lowered car lol :D

so to answer your question id say 40mm at the front and at least 60 at the back [it really was high b4 i got them]

definately reccomend coilovers even at their price :D

yeah mate - noticed the front bumper making the slightest scraping noise when i come out my driveway - but my driveway is pretty steep at the last bit. nothin too serious tho lol

as for the TTE - im gettin the TTE grille and im gettin some bespoke bodywork done :D - u know the part under the grille and liscence plate on the front bumper of the pre-facelift? ... im getting the bar cut out and mesh the same as the TTE grille filled in - will look mad :D

Looks great... I want coilovers.. :(

It's a bit bumpy now though just with Eibach springs and 215/35/18s!

If only I could find some to persuade the Mrs...

What rubber are you guys running? I have 215/*cough*35*cough*/R18s as well and it seems pretty hard and/or expensive to find any decent tyres for the car :(

The ride is relative, my Rolla feels hard on just lowering springs when compared to my slushy Passat!

Car looks really good

Kieron, you should ask the family for a corner coilover from each for Xmas ;) :yahoo:

i only got my aloys about 5 months ago and im not sure what the tyres are

but i do know i had to replace one and i got the cheapest i cud find was a 'zcetex' at £58 but it wasnt a directional tyre like the rest [but u never see the tread anyway so who cares lol]

it doesnt wear to badly either, have it on about 2 months [on the front, left] and it doesnt seem to have worn at all :)

i say just shop around n fire on the cheapest

Sorry mate but that is a terrible attitude to have about tryes. These are the things that keep you alive and gripping to the tarmac in bad weather, so always pay for quality rubber.

Also if I were you I'd move the odd tyre to the back of the car as the front does all the work on this car, so you'll want the fronts to match, otherwise the differing treads can throw the car out.

Toyo Proxes T1R's. It is relatively comfy on nice flat surfaces, but hit a pothole and Ouch...

Lmao. Now there's a plan!

ive never had any problems with handling nd tbh the guy who changed the tyre said the ones that came with the alloys arent 'top of the pops'

she holds the road fine n i think unless ur racing then tyre tread doesnt mean a hell of a lot because even in wet im cornering confidently :)

but each to their own

Pretty sure your quote must be broken as I definitely put 35 and not 25 ;)

Id have to second that one about tyre attitude, I dont mind paying big money for tyres if i can afford it as theres only 4 patches holding you to the road. Btw anyone try Bridgestone turanza tyres? I use my 16s for winter and i needed 2 new tyres and thought id try these really good grip in the wet which is what i was aiming for.
