Hi folks...

I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks now but thought this would be a good time to make my first post... I've just test driven and ordered myself a new Aygo Blue with a style pack!! Should be here within a fortnight and I can't wait!! :D

Can anyone tell me if it would invalidate my warranty if I was to buy and fit a pug rev counter myself?? Also is it possible to get a blue surround for the rev counter so that it matches the rest of the dials in the blue?

Also, anyone got any suggestions as to how I can get the next two weeks to go past faster?! :P

The rev counter is a 5min job with a screw driver and very easy to do.

The surrounds do come off, but I've not got around to doing mine yet. There is a company on eBay that does a primer/paint/lacker set for about £25 to match your car from the paint number.

On eBay do a search for '3 x aerosols kit'

Nope, since it is an official part/accessory :)

And as said above you will need to spray paint the surround which easily comes off, although £25 sounds a bit steep

@ Wild West Drifter... I went for the five door. I was gonna get the three door but after playing about with one in the showroom, I found the front seats a little awkward to move back into position. I will use the back seats quite often so decided that paying a little extra for the doors was well worth it.

Absolutely delighted!! I really enjoyed the 14 mile trip back from the dealer and seem to like it *more* than I remember liking the test drive. Maybe it's just the newness but I'm chuffed to bits! The engine sounds sweet and I've had great craic taking it for wee spins around the town! I just have to get over the compulsion to go outside and stroke it now!! :o

I've only got one question... Can anyone confirm whether I should have got the glove box cover?? There isn't one in my car. I'm not bothered at all as from what I've read they're more hassle than they're worth, but just curious.

My sons Aygo Blue (Slate Blue) had the glove box lid fitted as standard...............purchased July 2008.....I think that your Aygo should have one

The Lagoon Blue version had one as standard.... maybe they removed it for the Slate Blue version?

I much prefer one - I can hide all my wires and cables for phone/sat nav/ipod! lol

It IS standard spec on the Slate Blue Aygo :)

Strange I didn't get it then... does it just clip on? I can't see anywhere where it would attach.

Ah well, don't really want it tbh, the showroom car had one and I thought it felt a bit flimsy. Also it may encourage me not to carry so much stuff in the car! :o

TBH I wouldn't bother with the glovebox its a piece of poop!!!

Rev counter wont invalidate the policy..

Just think of it as... if u change something a part of the car that part is void... ie if u chage the engine .i.e induction kit that bit is void.

If u change the seats then they are void also. if u change the colour of the rings they are void... although nothing can reallly happen to the rings so you have nothing really to worry about :D
