Had a look at that its a bit pricey for the gains and its better to just get a different supercharger for higher gains.

I reckon they will struggle to sell them and will lower the price drastically. When they do i might have a pop and buy one lol

Actually, its a bargain! Bear in mind it comes with an ECU already mapped. If you were to get an aftermarket supercharger, either blitz (£3.5k+ for 250bhp) or greddy (imported from US for about £2.5k for 220bhp) or a custom rotrex (which nobody has this side of the pond) you'll need to get the supplied PowerFc/Emanage (depending on chosen kit) mapped properly which is another £400+ if done on a dyno. The gains from the TTE kit are night and day with considerably more power lower down the rev range. Lift is lowered to 4800k rpm and its much smoother.

Prolex said 'I can source, until stocks run out, a genuine TTE supercharger kit with ECU for the unbelievable price of £1650 including VAT and postage for left hand drive cars. UK cars need a special part which increases price by £400', which is £2050 all in.

Its the same supercharger (Ogura TX12) running the same boost as the blitz kit but without the intercooler. If later you wanted more power Silverstone Performance (Toyota TTE dealers) can fit an intercooler, remap to 250bhp with an emanage and supply a warranty.

Common sense says sell the tsport and buy a compressor, but if you've modded your Tsport already then adding a supercharger is the way forward as you keep gains from intake, internal engine mods, manifold, exhaust.

tru that actually a bit well out of my budget i would be happy to get this car to 210 as an NA. Sort out the torque aswell, 250bhp would be a hell lot of fun tho........But nearly £3000 all in all could buy a new car lol

^^ good job, nice install! do you still get the top end pull even with lower lift? does it still rev out to 8200rpm and pull hard?

Thanks :)

it' a different car now. It starts pulling at 3500, goes crazy at 4000, slight kick at 5 (lift). Seeing that it's just been installed I haven't been over 6K rpm yet, but it pretty much pulls hard from 4K and up.

hhe cool, always annoying when you have something done but you cant rev it up yet. just had a clutch and i dont want to rev.shift over 4-5k at the moment, got another 2 weeks of this hell to go yet:/

agh!

did you uprate the clutch or are you using the standard factory toyota one?

hehe...hit 7000 earlier today. Just couldn't resist. No point in going higher actually as the pull is around 4K now.

Standard T-Sport clutch. The conversion does not call for a clutch upgrade. I have Toyotas compressor installation manual.. :)

You need some extra parts for UK TS, that's right. Installation you can easily do yourself if you have access to a garage with a lift. Getting it done is gonna cost at least 500. Probably more if the people doing it haven't done it before. We did it in 16 hours appx, and that is 16 hours of working!
