Toyota Corolla Verso

Hi Everyone, A newbie here so please take it easy.....

Could some kind soul tell me please

What is the diference between a Toyota Corolla Verso and a Toyota Corolla .. OK so I'm thick. At this stage we have'nt got a Toyota and I've come over from Lexus.

I am searching for a 2004/2005 Toyota Corolla 2 litre diesel for my daughter who is having a dreadful time with a very poor Mercedes A series.... She hired a new Auris to go down to Cornwall a few weeks back and fell in love with it ... so did I, It appeared to be a superb vehicle..

Alas funds dictate that an Auris is out of the question so with a limited budget a 2004/5 Corolla it will be...

What is the best option? I am rather struck by the 2 litre diesel version or the 1.6 petrol version.

Can someone enlighten me please....

The road reports and write ups on the Corolla are quite something.. It is obviously one of the best cars Toyota have made in the past... Any info and help really would be appreciated.

I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla 2.0 D4-D [T3]

If ur lookin the 2004/2005 version I presume its the facelift model your after?

What do you want to know about it?

I bought mine with 39k on it and now have 107k on it - all troublefree miles :) - its an excellent car and if driven easy you can get at LEAST 50mpg - Ive achieved near 60 before.

To answer your question about the difference between a corolla and a verso is that a corolla is a straight forward hatchback and the verso is basically a big family wagon [i.e. an ugly big bus, in my opinion]

definately reccomend the corolla hatch :D

hope I helped :)

The Corolla Verso up to 2003 is a 5 seater that looks like an MPV, the 2004 onwards cars are 7 seater MPV's.

The standard Corolla is a reliable & solid car, buying a bad one will be just unlucky or being plain stupid i.e to good to be true.

The 1.6 Petrol vs 2.0 Diesel really depends on how many miles are being done annually, you need to do 16k+ to make the Diesel pay for itself.

The market is full of 1/2 Owner, low Mileage, Full Service History Cars. So finding a good one should be easy.
